Amazing tool for planning your trip. Really helped to simplify the hard and complicated process of making the TMB itinerary. Definitely recommended, wish I got it sooner!

This is a superb tool that in my opinion is practically a must have if you are preparing for the TMB. It is fully customisable and allows you to plan your days via elevation, distance and accommodation. I've purchased several (i.e. a lot!) of books and maps on the TMB and also used Google Earth and Garmin to plan routes, but nothing has come close to what this brings to the party. You need this trekking planner! After buying a book and a map that was not easy to follow, I was introduced to this interactive TMB trekking planner and it is a must have if you are planning your TMB itinerary! This trail guide has it all: accommodations (including campsites) along the route, satellite, street and topo viewing, and transit information which made it easy to custom plan my route segment by segment (including variant routes and connector trails). I used the TMB Trek Planner and found it incredibly helpful for planning my hike! Before, I had been planning with a combo of AllTrails and guidebooks, but given all the options for doing the TMB, I found it hard to visualize all of them together. The trek planner was super intuitive and allowed me to make a route with a mix of different routes (main trail, variants, public transit) that I could export to whatever routing app I wanted to use. Great for making sure you aren't missing alternatives to consider. The planner also has great support for refuges that aren't on the main trail

We used the TMB Trail Guide website to inform all of our Tour du Mont Blanc plans! Emily & Ian have put together an incredible amount of helpful tips & tricks. We found the TMB Refuge Guide and Gear List pages especially useful. In December 2025, we even got a chance to beta test their new TMB Trek Planner features, including an interactive trip planner map and enhanced refuge availability alerting features. I can't imagine tackling TMB trip planning without the help of the TMB Trail Guide!!

The TMB Trek Planner was a super great tool to assist in the daunting process of planning the TMB hike! It had features and planning tools that I could not find anywhere else online. Having the ability to customize your route depending on the amount of days and accommodations was an invaluable tool. I also really loved being able to see the specific distance and elevation of segment. Overall, this trek planner is a must for anyone who is planning their own TMB trip!

The TMB planner has been indispensable to planning my trip this summer. Knowing where to stay, the distance between refuges, and being able to plan a manageable route were so easy with this website. As an American who has not been back to France for over a decade, I was nervous about putting this adventure together. Having the TMB planner has made planning for the trip such a pleasure (and taken a load off my mind).
